Common questions

Which phones does it work on?
Android phones running 7.0 or later. Google Play shows whether it’s available for your device.
When do my notes show up?
Turn your screen off and on again and your notes come up first. The app needs the “Display over other apps” permission for this. In Settings you can choose to show it over the lock screen, or to skip it when you have nothing to do. On some phones you need to turn off battery saving for it to keep working.
How do I clear a finished task?
Swipe the note aside and it’s deleted. With Trash turned on, you can restore deleted notes from Trash. Turn on “Swipe twice to delete” and the first swipe marks it done (strikethrough), the second deletes it.
Can I change the colors and text?
Yes. Pick the first-screen background from 18 preset colors and give each note its own color. You can also change the font, text size, line and letter spacing, max lines and alignment.
Can I pause the note screen for a while?
Yes. In Do Not Disturb, choose the days and a start and end time, and the note screen stays off during that time. You can also turn it off for the whole day.
Can I move my notes to a new phone?
Yes. In Settings, open “Backup or Import” to save a backup file to your Downloads folder. Move that file to your new phone, then import it from the same menu. The backup is only saved on your phone, so keep a copy somewhere safe.
Does it cost anything? Are there ads?
It’s free to download and use, and it shows ads. The Google Play version offers in-app purchases (monthly, yearly or lifetime) that remove ads. Options and prices may change, so check the store listing.
Where do I report a problem?
Email [email protected] with your phone model, Android version and what happened. If you use the email option in the app’s Settings, your device details are filled in for you.
